Sometimes all the stars align for a couple, especially when you want to marry at a beach. Such is the case for Dan and Jess, a couple of weeks back in March 2016. Unkind weather had been threatening all week, but when I got down there on the day, I could not believe how balmy it was, especially at 5.00pm in the afternoon. Usually blowing an absolute gale.
But here we were, husband-to-be in kilt and thongs, (barefoot for ceremony though), and a beautiful set up by wedding coordinator. All that was left was the Bride arriving.
And she did, in a short cream dress, looking stunning with a bridesmaid in blue and flower girl daughter, Amber.
And what’s more I enjoyed myself and very happy to be part of their special day. And I had lots of great comments about the ceremony content, which always makes my day. Her Mum said to me, “I can see why they chose you. They wanted someone they connected to”.
Congratulations, Dan & Jess. Thanks for choosing me as your Celebrant.
