Note to Brides & Grooms and other Celebrants – Generally weddings are never perfect, unless you are so organised or you are getting married in a space that has everything on hand, and no chance of stuff ups. Note to self………….be overly careful when working around water and wind………..see previous blog where couple’s Certificate of Marriage ended up in the drink………………ie….the Canning River. That was wedding No 1 of this week.

Wedding number 2, the B & G’s wedding co-ordinators set up chairs and table at wrong part of Matilda Bay Reserve. I arrived and telephoned Bride, and before long I could see the co-ordinators packing chairs back in car and race to where I was. Note to B & G’s…..be very clear when giving directions of venue………..don’t assume that they know where……….draw a picture if you have to. As I left that wedding there was another wedding just about to begin at the first area. Could have been awfully embarrassing.

Wedding No 3, the Best Man who presented the rings, instead of being gentle and graceful, sort of presented the rings to the Groom not as carefully as he could have, and bride’s ring ended up on the lawn. Just little thing, but if on a decking or jetty, could have proved all over bar the shouting. Amusing though…………….
