My Bridegroom Gareth, took a huge leap of faith and moved to Perth from the UK for work and a sea change, a few years back. He was not looking for love, but found it when he did not quite reckon on meeting the determined and lovely Narelle on his very first day at his new work. He claims that it was the 18 hour flight and the subsequent jetlag that took him unawares. If you believe that, you will believe anything! Their first date was at the beautiful gardens of King’s Park on Sunday 14th March 2010, followed by dinner at the Left Bank in Fremantle and they have not looked back since. To Narelle he is her perfect English gentleman, “her once in a lifetime love”.
They have though, learnt that falling in love with another person and getting to know them on a deeper level is akin to exploring, a wild and yet, lovely place. I think most of us have been there and can relate to that.
And so they married at the historic UWA Sunken Gardens……………it has that old English feel about it, on a lovely Aussie sunny day. (A far cry from the English weather) Gareth’s brother, Greg, (I think), was his Best Man and he loved it so much he has immigrated here, too, along with his girlfriend and now a new baby. So Gareth now has some family here and perhaps he does not feel so isolated, which is great.
Narelle looked stunning, and of, course, Gareth, estremely handsome as you will see when the photo gets loaded.
Best wishes you two for many years of marital bliss.
